🇮🇳 हिन्दी दिवस | Hindi Diwas is observed on 14 September to commemorate the adoption of Hindi in Devanagari script as the official language of the Union of India by the Constituent Assembly in 1949. As one of India’s most widely spoken languages, Hindi holds a significant place in the nation’s cultural and linguistic landscape.To celebrate the richness, evolution and enduring relevance of Hindi, Vidya Pratishthan’s Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla School organised a vibrant Hindi Inter-House Skit Competition.Four houses — Vikramshila, Takshashila, Ujjain and Nalanda — brought the language alive on stage through creative and thought-provoking skits. The competition was for students of class V to IX, with 8 minutes allotted to each performance.The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal and Incharges, followed by Saraswati Vandana. The order of performances was decided through a draw. The four houses performed the skit on four different themes – patriotism, value of time, hardwork and being truthful. The students enacted beautifully. The overall responsibility was with Hindi Department. The anchoring was done by Mrs. Sarika Khade. The performances were judged by Mrs. Prajakta Sangwai and Mrs. Faiza Shaikh, with Mrs. Amruta Memane as the Time Keeper. While the results were being compiled, students witnessed a short and engaging video tracing the evolution of Hindi through the ages.The moment of anticipation finally arrived — Nalanda House emerged victorious and was honoured with the Championship Trophy. 🏆The celebration concluded with Pasaydan, bringing the event to a serene and meaningful close.✨ Hindi is more than a language; it is a living expression of India’s history, culture, identity and shared voice.
