VP’s Dr.Cyrus Poonawalla School (CBSE) Baramati recently hosted a vital and engaging session on “Adolescent Health and Well-being” for students between the ages of 11 and 16. The session was led by Dr. Rajesh Kokare, a distinguished Gynaecologist and health expert, who provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychological changes that are a natural part of adolescence.
Dr. Kokare spoke to the students about the key challenges of this transitional phase, providing practical guidance on a range of topics. He offered clear “dos and don’ts” regarding personal hygiene, the importance of a balanced diet, and effective ways to manage mental and emotional well-being. The core message was to help students navigate this period with confidence and knowledge, equipping them with the tools to make healthy choices.
A highlight of the event was the interactive Q&A segment, where Dr. Kokare created a safe and open environment for students to ask questions. He strongly encouraged them to be vocal about their concerns and to seek out reliable information, reassuring them that no question is too small or insignificant. The students responded with active participation, showing a genuine curiosity and a desire to better understand their own health.
Principal Mrs. Yashaswini T. Nigade praised the initiative, emphasizing that such programs are crucial for the holistic development of students. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Senior Coordinator Mrs. Sunita Pawar, leaving students feeling not only well-informed but also empowered to take charge of their health and well-being.
